    Dana Tanamachi: Chalk Murals

So a few months ago I posted about chalkboard paint in an article called Drawing on the Walls, and it’s been one of my most popular posts amongst my followers.  Well now more than ever I want to break out the chalkboard paint, and I imagine you will too, because this incredibly talented Brooklyn artist Dana Tanamachi is drawing the most beautiful chalk murals and I want one.  You can check out her work below and visit her website here.

    Drawing on the Walls

I know it’s a major trend lately, using chalkboard paint.  What used to be reserved for classrooms and kids rooms has now moved into the living space.  It’s a wonderful idea is you have any artistic talent, and can be a very inexpensive alternative to finding great art for your walls.  And if you’re afraid of taking the plunge and painting the whole wall, you can always add an accent here or there.  Here are some of my favorite spaces where people have incorporated this technique.
